My name is Javier Sanjurjo. For most of my life I have been involved in the Music Business. Participating in all facets of the business. My love for music started at a very early age as a child in Cuba, where I lived for the first 11 years of my life. Playing all the percussion instruments that were part of the music mecca of the 1950s in Cuba was my beginning. Throughout my childhood years, every chance I had I was always jamming with all the older musicians in town playing those syncopated rhythms. Coming to America at the age of 11 started me in a different style of music. My father bought me a set of Slingerland drums by the age of 15 and I took off playing with local working bands all over Chicago for over 2 years. In 1970 I picked up an acoustic guitar and fell in love with songwriting, which became my life long addiction.

At 24 years old I moved to Miami and started, a ten year period as a professional drummer, working with touring club bands and traveling throughout the southeast states. Groups like Turning point, Will Power, Viva and Nasty Kids. These where the seventies and eighties. We also opened up for many major signed artists in their concerts. When I was off the road back in Miami, I would do a lot of studio sessions in studios like Criteria, Studio Center, Coconuts, and demo studios, where I gained all my studio experience. Knowing how to read and write drum music also gave me greater opportunities.

For the past 30 years in Knoxville TN. Where I raised a family and finally settled at, I have owned a production company doing live concerts, a booking agency, a sound and lighting company and a music store. I have now sold all my businesses and only own a recording studio for recording our professionally produced demos. Through it all, I never stopped writing songs and now with a giant catalog of songs written over decades, I will finally concentrate all my attention for the remaining of my life in recording and submitting those songs to our industry. At times I have selected to co-write with some incredibly talented songwriters and they will be listed in my song catalogue's lyrics.
